Paws & Portraits | Pets and Their People Photo Sessions

It’s no secret: Our pets are family.

They greet us at the door. They sit beside us when the day has been long. They fill our homes with personality, joy, and sometimes a little bit of chaos.

And yet, so often the photos we have of them live on our phones.

Paws & Portraits is a special Pet Photo Session Event at ELC Photography designed to create beautiful, professional portraits of the animals who mean so much to us.

On Friday, April 18, we’re opening the studio for a day dedicated entirely to pets and the people who love them.

These sessions are quick, relaxed, and designed to capture the unique personality of your pet — whether they are energetic, curious, regal, shy, or completely unpredictable.

Because honestly… that’s part of the charm.

A Simple, Stress-Free Experience

Pets don’t always love long photoshoots, which is why these sessions are intentionally designed to be short and easy.

Each session is 20 minutes, giving us plenty of time to capture expressive portraits without overwhelming your pet.

We’ll photograph:

• Your pet on their own
• Personality moments and natural expressions
• Optional photos with you and your pet together

Many people love having at least one image that captures the bond they share with their pet. You're absolutely welcome to jump into the frame.

What Makes Pet Portraits Special

Every pet has a personality.

Some sit perfectly and pose like professionals.
Some are curious explorers.
Some give us that head tilt that melts hearts instantly.

Our goal isn’t perfection.

It’s authentic expression.

The little moments — a curious glance, an alert ear, a playful spark in their eyes — those are the images that become the most meaningful over time.

What to Expect at Your Session

When you arrive at the studio, we’ll take a few moments for your pet to settle in and explore the space.

From there, we guide the session in a relaxed and playful way so we can capture natural expressions and personality.

You’re welcome to bring:

• Treats
• Favorite toys
• Simple accessories like bandanas or collars

After the session, you’ll be able to review your images and select your favorites, with the option to purchase digital images and artwork.

Can I Be in the Photos Too?

Absolutely.

While these sessions focus on your pet, we always encourage people to step into a few photos with them.

Some of the most meaningful portraits we create are the quiet, simple images of people with the animals they love.

If you'd like to be in a photo, we recommend wearing something simple and neutral so the focus stays on the connection.
